On Sunday 17 July, Toby Treves featured on the BBC’s Fake or Fortune, as part of a panel discussing a portrait purportedly painted in part by Lucian Freud. After filming, Toby wrote to the BBC outlining his thoughts on the work, which he thought could not be fully attributed to the artist and so will not be included in the main body of the catalogue raisonné.
